Progress!

I have discovered Pulpcore, a Java2D api that has just come up and is made specially for creating game applets. The demos look really really nice so I decided to dig more and start learning to use it. So far I re-animated the devil that Idid in a regular applet, and it looks waaaaay more better than my noobish try. Plus the player it uses is killer. Everything looks so web 2.0, you can hardly tell it’s java applets behind. I’m loving it!

… from the Darkstar server. Today I took the time to set up the server and make it running, since the newbie instructions were quite obsolete and a few files were not in the right directory. In any case, things are now starting to “move” and I’ve started to learn the basics of programming the server.

“Personally, I just let it get on with it. I don’t even try to understand it, if it works, that’s fine with me. A bit like the wife. Ex-wife, actually - can’t think why she left like that.”

…that probably will get stuck on the way to the finish line. At least I lie to myself thinking this might just work.

Anyway, after a small chat with Cristi at least I got an idea of what I have to do. Therefore, me, myself and eventually the other guy called “I” shall focus on/learn/curse/deny the existance of: Struts, Hibernate, GoogleWebToolkit, Quartz. Already it seems too much… Bleah…
